PUBLIC STUDY__
In collaboration with a PhD researcher, I developed a conceptual study for public furniture inspired by her work on sustainable 3D concrete printing. Construction waste presents a significant environmental challenge, from processing to transportation off-site. This project explores an on-site, circular building approach, leveraging digital fabrication and robotics to transform excavated aggregate into 3D-printable mortar, enabling the creation of structures while minimizing waste.
The design illustrates how this methodology could have been applied at the recently completed Kronsløbsøen building in Nordhavn, Copenhagen, proposing a greener, more resource-efficient approach to urban construction. The project is presented here through conceptual renders that visualize the potential of sustainable, digitally fabricated public space.
